The complete set, consisting of a Z3 DIN first stage, a main second stage with a black Comfort Swivel, and a dedicated Z3 octopus, offers divers the same precision, lightness, and natural breathing for which all Atomic Aquatics regulators are renowned.
The Z3 first stage utilizes chrome-plated brass and 316 stainless steel, providing superior corrosion resistance. The second stage and octopus utilize zirconium (Zr)-plated brass, which offers approximately 3–4 times greater corrosion resistance than traditional chrome plating.
Key internal components of the second stage, such as the lever and patented orifice, are made of titanium, ensuring low weight, reliability and durability.

- Materials used in metal parts: Precision machined brass with zirconium coating and titanium internal components.
- Easy and natural breathing: The efficient breathing system guarantees easy breathing even at great depths and an appropriate breathing rate with a natural and comfortable supply of the breathing mixture.
- Breathing resistance adjustment: knob for manual adjustment of breathing resistance in specific situations (e.g. entering from the beach through the surf or securing the octopus against excitation).
- Comfort Swivel: The main second stage hose features a patented brass Comfort Swivel with a black PVD coating. It allows for 30° of movement without twisting the hose, straining the breathing tube, or pulling on the mouthpiece. The head allows the regulator to adjust to the slightest movement for increased breathing comfort.
- AFC (Automatic Flow Control): Patented automatic flow control. The system automatically adjusts the venturi's action to the depth without the need for manual adjustments. Simply enjoy diving. No more unnecessary knobs or buttons!
- Titanium Seat Saving Dynamic Orifice: Patented dynamic orifice that moves away from the seat when the regulator is not pressurized. This prevents damage and distortion of the seat during storage.
- Elliptical exhaust valve: Ensures free flow and significantly reduces exhalation resistance.
- Anatomical mouthpiece: Comfortable double silicone mouthpiece made of extremely soft and flexible silicone rubber (bite-resistant).
