Titanium Ti2 Octopus
The Ti2 Octopus, like the Atomic Aquatics T3 Titanium regulator, is resistant to the effects of corrosion caused by use in seawater. It is a compact octopus with a short exhaust deflector. It is made of a bright yellow material, making it immediately noticeable to a dive partner. The Ti2 Octopus also features the AFC system and a breathing resistance adjustment knob, just like the primary regulators. It is one of the lightest octopuses available for sale, recommended for those who value lightness combined with very high performance and low breathing resistance.
Why is safety so important?
The Octopus, as a secondary backup regulator, was created for normal reasons to protect the diver in case of a dangerous situation. Atomic Aquatics believes that octopuses are just as important, if not more so, than your primary regulator. Although used less frequently, at certain moments it becomes the most important piece of equipment. Even though you may never need to use it, it must work flawlessly when you want to use it. Answer these questions for yourself: "Are you the type of person who uses old safety equipment, or do you buy second-rate safety gear that is responsible for your life while diving?" In an emergency, your octopus should deliver air as easily as your primary regulator. It often happens that a salesperson, instructor, or dive buddy will tell you not to waste money on an octopus, to buy the cheapest one - there is probably no worse advice. Especially from an instructor or dive buddy for whom you are actually buying your octopus. The answer is only one: "An octopus is for breathing in emergency situations. If you have to use it, it means your buddy's primary regulator has failed. The octopus cannot be worse; on the contrary, it must be the best!"
AFC (Automatic Flow Control) - a patent by Atomic Aquatics - automatically adjusts the flow of the breathing gas to the depth to maintain breathing comfort.
The new Ti2, with increased flow rates and a redesigned housing and lever, has significantly reduced breathing resistance at any depth, from shallow water to beyond the limits.
High breathing standard: high flow rate (minimized breathing effort at depth and a large amount of breathing gas delivered) allows for natural and comfortable breathing.
All Atomic Aquatics octopuses come standard with 90 cm hoses. They are also compatible with other standard hoses of various lengths available on the market. An Atomic Aquatics octopus reduces stress in crisis situations because it is made from the same high-quality materials as the primary regulators, ensuring that in an emergency, you can be sure your octopus will not fail. Think about why, in emergency situations, you or your buddy should breathe from an inferior regulator? An octopus should be reliable.
