The Hydpro D01 Rugged automatic dump valve is the perfect complement to a professional drysuit where precise buoyancy control is paramount. Designed from the ground up by Italian engineers, the Rugged model combines exceptional mechanical resistance with micrometric precision in its spring mechanism.
The valve's key advantage is its ergonomic, knurled outer cover with a low profile. The special surface texture makes it easy to grip and turn the knob even with the thickest, dry gloves or cold-stinging hands. During adjustment, the diver can hear and clearly feel precise "clicks" under their fingers, allowing for precise adjustment of the spring pressure and automatic gas release rate without having to look down at their arm.
Protection against contamination and high efficiency
The internal design of the D01 Rugged valve optimizes gas flow dynamics, allowing for rapid deflation of the suit in emergency situations (via manual pressure). At the same time, the valve is optimized for operation in challenging waters – a unique arrangement of covers and internal seals minimizes the risk of sand, silt, or salt crystals getting under the valve head, which is the most common cause of leaks in standard designs.
The anatomical shape of the internal base adjacent to the diver's arm evenly distributes hydrostatic pressure, eliminating pressure points and improving thermal comfort and overall convenience even during multi-hour decompression profiles.
