The Z3 is the most economical and compact regulator in the world. This regulator was based on the popular B1 and T1 models and shares the same performance features. The second stage contains titanium components found in the T3 and B2 models, which is reflected in its low weight and durability. High breathing performance, high flow rate, minimized breathing effort at great depths, and a large supply of breathing gas allow for natural and comfortable breathing. For the Z3's first stage, we used chrome-plated brass and 316 stainless steel. The second stage is made of brass coated with zirconium (Zr), which is about 3-4 times more rust-resistant than conventional plating. A very important element in the regulator is the second stage lever and spring, which is why these parts in the Z3 regulator are made of titanium, which is much harder, stronger, and more corrosion-resistant than other materials.

• AFC (Automatic Flow Control) is a patented Atomic feature. With Automatic Flow Control, just enjoy the dive. No unnecessary knobs or buttons - the regulator automatically adjusts during the dive. It is the first and only depth-responsive regulator, using a Venturi nozzle to automatically balance performance and stability (Pat. # 5678541). A computer-designed vane inside the mouthpiece changes position depending on depth to ensure continuous, natural, and effortless breathing at all depths.
• The titanium lever ensures absolute safety and reliability. This part is the key mechanical connection to the air supply. Made from a patented aerospace titanium alloy, the lever is resistant to abrasion, material fatigue, and corrosion.
• Balanced poppet system, the aerodynamic pneumatically balanced poppet ensures increased airflow and ease of breathing, meaning that regardless of the cylinder pressure, the diver will receive the same amount of air during the dive.
• The elliptical exhaust valve significantly reduces exhalation effort at depth. The oversized, high-flow valve and the shape of the diaphragm inside the second stage make every exhalation easier.
• Seat-Saving Orifice - a new orifice design significantly extends the life of the rubber seat. Seat wear is the primary cause of leaks in the second stage and reduced performance during use. The first and only adjustable dynamic sealing orifice (patent no. 5803073) is pressure-activated and only contacts the rubber seat when the regulator is in use. This orifice is made of corrosion-resistant titanium or, in the case of the M1, stainless steel.
